April 25th, 2025 marked a first in Rotarians Matt Christopher's and Dan Adler's lives. Thanks to The Rotary Club of Brisbane, and PP Bruce McNaught for organising the wreath to be laid by the RSL, this has become a memorable moment for Matt and Dan to be proud of. With family links on both sides back to representing their countries in war supporting the ANZACs in WW1 and WW2, Dan and Matt were proud to fly the flag on behalf of all Rotarians in our Club. It was a wonderful service, held at the Holland Park Memorial Park, with electorate councillors on both sides representing, schools in the district, businesses and locals of all ages braving the rain, it was a very well attended service to remember the diggers who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.
If you'd like to join our club and represent at next year's ANZAC Day in your local area, feel free to reach out. We'd love to share the love and remember them on this special day for years to come.

Rtn Dickson Ken has spent the last year collecting desks, computers, books, sporting jerseys, solar lights and Teacher-In-A-Box kits. These items were packed into several containers and shipped to the Papua New Guinea highlands by RARE (Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment) who also helped source much of the equipment.
On November 26, the fruits of this project were "unboxed" and distributed to schools in the Nipa Kutubu highland district of PNG.
Many thanks go to the Kicks for Kids foundation for providing the rugby balls and sporting jerseys.
We are not stopping here. Earlier, PP Mark Williams of RCoB, Rtn Dickson Ken and President Trevor Birney (Rotary Club of Boroko) met for planning sessions in Port Moresby and met with ministers and officials of the the PNG Government and the Australian High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea Mr. John Feakes to start early planning for a large-scale rollout of Teacher In A Box and Solar Buddy lights to rural schools in Papua New Guinea.

Progress Update from Kavieng, Papua New Guinea: Local Leadership in Action
The recent training session in Kavieng, Papua New Guinea, held in July 2024, marks a significant step forward in Kyeema's locally-led program. Under the guidance of Kyeema’s PNG Program Manager, Ali Ume, the initiative is now being fully implemented by local leaders, showcasing the community's commitment to sustainable development.
One of the highlights of the visit was the construction of a second Master Farmer chicken house, built entirely with local resources in anticipation of the training. This achievement reflects the community's proactive approach and readiness to embrace new agricultural practices.
This program, entirely funded by Rotary to date, owes its progress to the support of the Rotary Club of Brisbane and the Rotary Club of Moorestown. Their contributions have been vital in empowering local communities to build sustainable livelihoods.
