Updated Monthly Meeting Cycle

The Club is proposing an amended meeting cycle, aimed at providing a bit more structure for members and supporting the two-month trial of evening meetings at The Normanby Hotel.

The new cycle is based on:

  •  

  • Room availability at The Normanby. The Nicolson Room is suitable for short "business" meetings with socialising downstairs afterward for those that have time. The Lounge will be used for private or committee-style meetings.

  • Zoom access. All meetings, except social nights, will be available via Zoom through ClubRunner event links.

  • Coordination with Paddington Rotaract. They meet in the Lounge on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. This is an exciting opportunity to connect with them when possible.

  • TBC Moving the Board Meeting to a Tuesday evening.

Speaker Priorities:

  • Club members presenting on Rotary Club of Brisbane projects or Rotary-specific topics.

  • Sessions focused on learning, ClubRunner, MyRotary, and shared club goal updates.

  • Speakers from other Rotary clubs or Rotary-aligned initiatives.

This cycle aims to improve member engagement and meeting efficiency. The club will review feedback during and after the Normanby evening meeting trial.
