In East Sepik, para-athletes are gearing up for the PNG Games with newfound support from a coalition of local and international donors. These contributions are set to make a remarkable difference, empowering Para athletes in East Sepik and highlighting the power of unity and collaboration.
Para athletes in East Sepik have received a significant boost ahead of the PNG Games in June 2025. The athletes were provided with sports shoes, bags, Eskies, tents and first aid kit worth over K5,000.
These supplies were generously donated by the Brian Bell CEO and Madden Private Clinic Owners in Port Moresby. The Rotary Club of Brisbane in Brisbane Australia facilitated the freight, while the Wewak Rotary Community Corps delivered the donations on their behalf.
These supplies will play a crucial role in ensuring that para-athletes in the province are well-prepared for the upcoming games, enhancing their ability to compete at their best.
Ludwig Avareva, the East Sepik Para Sports Coordinator, extended heartfelt appreciation to the Brian Bell CEO, Madden Private Clinic Owners, Rotary Club of Brisbane and Wewak Rotary Community Corps for their generous contributions.
This collaborative effort highlights the importance of community support and international cooperation in promoting inclusive sports.
Such initiatives not only aid the athletes but also demonstrate the power of collective effort in creating a supportive and empowering environment for all.
The generous contributions and logistical support from various organizations underscore the spirit of unity and commitment to fostering opportunities for para-athletes in the province and country.
Wewak Rotary Community Corps whilst presenting the donated stuff to the athletes acknowledges the partnership through Rotary Club of Brisbane in ensuring smiles are put on the face of East Sepik Para Athletes.
