Keith Watts Testimonal - 4 days left to get tickets!

Past Rotarian Presidents may  take advantage of a special discount by entering the code PPDISCOUNT at checkout.

Planning the Keith Watts Testimonial Dinner is well underway for Thursday, 12 June 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club.

All members, friends of Rotary, and especially our Past Presidents are warmly invited to attend this special evening honouring Dr Keith Watts and his remarkable 67 years of Rotary service.

The dinner will be held at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club, a venue selected by Keith for its elegant atmosphere and views over the Gabba.

Guests will enjoy a welcome drink, a three-course meal, and live jazz as we celebrate Keith’s extraordinary contribution to Rotary and to communities across Australia and beyond.

As part of the evening, Past Presidents of the Rotary Club of Brisbane will be formally acknowledged and presented with their own ‘Past President’ badge, engraved with their name and year of service—a small token of appreciation for their leadership and commitment.

All net proceeds from the event will support the Rotary Queensland Breakthrough Project, helping to fund neuroscience research at the Queensland Brain Institute.

Tickets are limited. Please consider joining us to celebrate a legacy of service and support a cause with lasting impact.

We support REACH

That’s why we’re proud to be monthly contributors to the REACH Running Costs Club (RRC) – an initiative that keeps the essentials running for a cause doing life-changing work.

REACH provides vital programs that educate, uplift and empower. But like all grassroots organisations, they rely on steady funding to keep the lights on, the classrooms open, and hope alive. The RRC ensures those running costs—rent, utilities, and basic resources—are covered each month.

Our support means REACH can focus on what matters most—empowering lives and building brighter futures.

Together, we don’t just support the cause—we help keep it running.

đŸ«¶ October Volunteering: South Brisbane Rotary’s Kid's Picnic

Since 1947, the Rotary Club of South Brisbane has been running this remarkable community event. This long-standing initiative offers a day out for children and carers facing significant life challenges, providing fun, friendship, and a sense of community.

This October, the Rotary Club of Brisbane will be stepping in to support this event as volunteers—part of our commitment to community service and to standing alongside our fellow clubs in shared purpose. It’s also a chance to reconnect with a club we’re historically tied to—South Brisbane Rotary was originally chartered by our club.

To give us a full picture of this legacy and the logistics of the picnic, John Paskin from South Brisbane Rotary will join us as guest speaker on Monday 28 July. His visit will offer insight into how this tradition has evolved, what it takes to run it, and how we can be part of it.

For newer members especially, this is a great opportunity to:

  • See how other Rotary clubs are making an impact

  • Learn about inter-club collaboration and shared projects

  • Get involved in hands-on community service

Let’s show our support and get behind a fellow club continuing a decades-old Rotary tradition.
