The Rotary Club of Brisbane will again meet at 12:15pm at the Brisbane Club on Monday 28^th November.

We have a guest speaker in Paul Hobbs

Who will be speaking on changes to the Meals On Wheels organisation.

 

Let me advise you of two other coming events:

CHRISTMAS PARTY

This will be held Monday 12^th December at 1PM following the Annual General Meeting which will commence at 12:45.

There will be a greatly enhanced menu with desert for the occasion.

We will have a secret Santa and lots of fun.

The Brisbane Club will charge $60 for the special menu but we do need to advise of Numbers.

For this reason, members are requested to prepay at Humanitex so that we can give accurate numbers to the Brisbane Club

AUSTRALIA DAY BASH

Please keep this day free for a fun event at my unit 63/37 Playfield Street Chermside.

We will have a Aussie tucker meal of steak, sausages salad and coleslaw followed by

a mini Cake Board generously donated by our members Lara and Khedar who own Allegra’s Artisan Cakes.

Cost of the event will be $40 and I will set up a humanitex link soon.

 

Finally, an important matter:

INVOLVEMENT

The rotary constitution places fairly strict requirements on meeting attendance and involvement in club activities.

In the Brisbane Club we ask members to make the best of attendance to meetings and events that they can.

Business and family commitments must come first.

However it is very desirable that members attend meetings and/or club events whenever they can.

There are three reasons for this:

We are looking to conduct an additional meeting on one evening per month (probably the 1^st Monday) to cater to those who find a midday meeting difficult.

If you would like to attend such a meeting then please contact me with your thoughts.

I am really hoping to see some of our members who we haven’t seen for a while at the Australia Day Bash.
